Interfaith Conference

In recent years, the focus on Islam in Western nations has become significant, particularly the way in which Muslims can live harmoniously in these nations. Key events such as Pope Benedict XVI’s address to Regensburg University in September 2006, as well as the Danish Cartoon controversy subsequently, have led to global tensions between Muslims and Christians. It is essential that Muslim and Christian communities strive to build bridges of understanding and engage in mutual respect.
Issued in October 2007, and endorsed by 138 Muslim scholars and leaders, A Common Word Between Us and You is an open letter to Christian leaders everywhere. It is an historical and unprecedented document that further paved the way in developing deeper and more enriching relationships between people of faith.
We hope the Conference will bring together people from different religious traditions for discussion and critical reflection on the issues raised

Window to Islam

UWAMSA has launched a series of stimulating lecture about Islam.
This lecture is intended mainly for non-Moslems who have any interest or concerns about Islam. However, Moslems are welcome.
However, during the examination and semester break, this activity has been suspended and will be re-arranged in the next semester.

Muslim Chaplaincy at UWA

UWAMSA has launched our new Muslim Chaplain at UWA. You have the opportunity to consult with a qualified scholar of Islam and bring some khair in yours or another's life.. What kind of things can you see yourself 'using' a Muslim Chaplain for?
Please give your opinions and ideas by signing up the FORUM link.

All UWA student, staff and close by community can start seeing the chaplaincy once a week at UWA. Below are the details of the chaplaincy:

Day of consultation : Every Tuesday.
